I have a herniated c4/5 disk which has caused much discomfort with arm/hand numbness and neck pain while sleeping. I have tried several pillows and eventually found the best relief without a pillow. This little baby has caused me to enjoy pain free sleep since I received it.

Make sure you get the large if you have a neck size of like..15" or more - (like most men). Another thing: The color bleeds like crazy so you can save lots of hassle by just washing the thing right away in hot water. I took it into the shower with me and in five minutes, had most of the excess dye removed. Funny, it didn't look any different at all.

Another thing - remember to keep it a bit less than snug if you are going to lie down and sleep with it - the neck veins naturally distend when you lie down and can end up feeling strangled. If you are like me, just having it on a little less than snug will keep you head in a good position all night.

Seems to wash well - which is good...because I imagine if it wasn't washed periodically, it would end up smelling like a sock.

I'm glad I bought it..for the price it has been an awesome value for me.

After buying dozens of different types of pillows and spending tons of money, I finally found a pillow that finally does what it claims. I have serious cervical and lumbar disk problems and am on disability. I truly needed a pillow that would support my head and neck properly. As a trial and at the advice of my physical therapist, I used a rolled-up towel inside my pillow case as a temporary cervical neckroll. While this definitely helped, the towel would compress, as you would expect, and in the course of a night's sleep, the support benefit would be lost. The McKenzie Cervical Roll restores its shape beautifully, and provides excellent--yet comfortable--neck support for both back and side sleepers. I haven't done it yet, but I think it would also be very convenient to take along during extended travel, so as not to regress when away from home. I have a problem with a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder blade. Going to the chiro has made it worse!!....I am unable to sleep in any position with any other pillow (I purchased about 10 other difference kinds of pillows)....and finally found this one. My chiropractor recommends this petite size for women and children. I am 5'2" but NOT petite and this is the perfect size for me. It took me a few nights to get used to this pillow and I kept going back to my other one throughout the night but after a week and half now of using only this one I have noticed a big difference. I used to get shoulder pain during the night and sometimes my hands would tingle but this pillow has helped with both of those issues. Make sure you use it correctly, though! The middle area is for sleeping on your back and the sides are for when you are sleeping on your side. It works well because if you start on your side and then roll onto your back in the night then the pillow perfectly adjusts (and vice versa). You just needs to make sure you are using the right part of the pillow when you first fall asleep. Sweet dreams!

After the first night, I was not impressed. It seemed awkward and each time I shifted during the night, I had to think about how I was supposed to position my head. I decided that one night was probably not sufficient test time for this pillow. I have slept on it 5 nights now and I really like it. The support for my back is great and just what I was looking for. The way that it wraps around my head makes me feel cozy and supported. I would recommend this pillow for any side sleepers out there looking for a different, more supportive pillow.

I bought this neck pillow because I have been having soreness and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Just like everyone else that has written a review, I put the pillow in the microwave for about 2 minutes (in 30 second intervals) and the heat sustains in the pillow for about 2 hours. I love that, even after it's been in the microwave, the pillow's filling sustains the heat (and even gets hotter) for a while. It doesn't get too hot that it becomes uncomfortable, but I like that I don't have to constantly reheat it.

The pillow's scent went away after the first or second use, but I didn't factor that into my review because I honestly felt the scent was a bit overpowering. I'm happy to use it as a heated pillow without the scent, and I also use wrap it around my lower back. The carrying case comes in handy for me, as I'm constantly on the run and it's a convenient way for me to always have it with me.

These pillow are fine, but they are very thick and puffy. No joke...my husband is convinced they are balloons, actually, as they do seem like they have air inside. They are a bit thicker than what we are used to, but I am sure that with time, they will wear down a little. If you are particular about your pillows and want them to be on the flatter side, you will not like these. They do seem made well, though.

 I suffer from two herniated cervical disks and it is very difficult for me to find a pillow that is just right, not too soft, not too firm, not too low, not too high... Over the years I have tried many, many memory foam pillows, amongst them the Dream Coil pillow, the Tempurpedic, Therapedic, you name it.

 All worked somewhat but it seems that the main problem with most memory foam pillows is that they are too firm at first (especially in the winter when it is cold in the bedroom), then mold perfectly to a person's individual anatomy until the material gets too warm from the person's body heat and finally it does not provide perfect support anymore because it gets too soft and allows the head to sink in too far.

 Because I was at the point yet again where I was changing out my various memory foam pillows several times a night in order to get comfortable, I was looking for just another pillow to try. Which in this case was the Iso-Cool pillow (the contoured model).
